Hair care

It has been a while since I have long hair - I meant hair length of beyond bra line. After pregnancy, I have "neglected" hair care as I couldn't find a time for me to go to salon without having to worry who will be taking care of the little one. Hence, I often ended up with heavy, frizzy hair - due to the numerous dying and bleaching...

See - my long hair can be very long and boring, right?

One fine day that I finally can't tahan of my "dead" looking hair, I thought of giving it a treatment. Went searching for a good deal on Fave and I found one that came with scalp treatment as well. Timing was good too as I have few hours to kill before the usual time I reached home to start my night routine (pick up the little one from nanny, bath, cook and play with the little one)

I went to the salon in Kepong and it's a total change to my used to be hair style - SHORT hair. And it was really short - awkward length between ears and shoulder. The stylist also encouraged me to change my parting, from side to middle split.

The hair stylist also suggested for long hair females to shower their hair with cold water. No wonder the conditioner doesn't seems to work all this while - as I use warm water to shower most of the time.

The change was good, but hard to maintain. There is this extra step of curling my hair every morning. But somehow, I love the way I look for a good 3 months.

Hair growing and it's getting harder to take care of it

3 months later, hair grew and it changes the way I look in photo. I heard comments that I don't look like the usual Winx and some say, it makes me look fatter?

I do look fatter in this picture, with this hair style...

Hence, there goes the finding for time again to get my hair fix. This time around, I located a salon that's nearby my area called Plus One Unisex Hair Salon (No 23, Jalan Setia Rawang 1, Taman Setia, Rawang; opposite Tesco Rawang).

They first help me to trim my hair, follow by a hair analysis to check my hair conditions. It appears that I've very sensitive scalp with dryness too. Hence, it causes the itchiness that makes me scratch my scalp constantly - especially during the hot days. But, I'm glad to hear that the hair grow is maintained at a healthy level even though with the severe hair fall I've post pregnancy.

The two pictures on the left was before treatment (dry and "injured" scalp). On the right was the after treatment images. The top indicates the sensitivity of my scalp (very sensitive) while the bottom showed the cleaned and healthy hair root (3 to 4 pieces of hair per root is healthy, yay)

They shampooed my hair with the special treatment shampoo and let the shampoo stays on my head for 5 minutes. Then, after washing, applying another intensive repair shampoo - feels like double cleansing. Then, applying treatment onto my scalp. Love this as it has that cooling effect upon application.

The hair stylist suggested for me to have alternate shampoo session to treat the sensitive scalp of mine. The charges was affordable and I'm still trying to see the difference as it was only a week ago that I went to the salon.
