Remember my last post about 101 of fine dining? Click here if you don't recall xD

Frangipani Restaurant & Bar, one of the pioneer of Changkat Bukit Bintang who specializes in European cuisine offer great food, quality ones every time I went there for a review. I do understand that you might think I might be bias as it's working requirement but I must admit, the consistency of the quality of the food is something that I admired most as the kitchen team maintains them well and perfectly even after so many visits throughout the one year period.

Like any other fine dining restaurant, diners could go for the usual  three course menu (RM170 ++) or the menu gastronomique (RM280 ++) which consists of around six to seven courses, each served in a smaller portion to allow diners to get a greater tasting experiece.

Please do bear with me as I'm not a food critic. I'm just sharing what I think about the dish. Let me start with what is on their menu, starting with the First Course.

Vegetable Terrine - Among the first few vegetarian dish here. Let's start from the artistic comma looking 'structure' from far right corner. It's a combination of a few vegetable such as carrot and cucumber that is set together with jelly and the delicate finishing on top is the caviar, the seaweed version though. The dish also consists of the combination of Buffalo Mozzarella, Cherry tomatoes and Basil Pesto that it gives you the most original and most fresh taste when you put those in your mouth.

Fried Hokkaido Scallop - I only get to see such big size scallop here as this is the Hokkaido ones. The scallop is fried deligently and take a bit of the scallop, a bit of the dried tomato, a bit of the rocket vichyssoise and a bit of the puree and send them to your mouth and munch... hmm, yummy...

Fresh Tiger Prawn Ceviche - This dish is very refreshing and I enjoyed having it every time. Tiger prawns are usually big and the combination of the prawn, pineapple salsa and the green pea puree make the dish an interesting starter.

Three Fresh Shigoku Oysters - Simple, straight forward dish with white miso vinaigrette. You could taste the most original flavor if you are looking for the 'sea-ocean' feel...

The above are among the starters I had during reviews. Not interesting enough? Check out what is there for the second course in the next post ya!
