jAcoB's WalK oF LifE 2009

My family used to participate in walkathon =) To me, it is a form of exercise and in the same time, it bring our family bond tighter...

Jacob's Walk of Life 2009 is an annual event who have been organised by Jacob's for 3 years continuously ^^ Previously, the venue was a bit far from us but this time, it was been held at Taman Metropolitan Kepong which is very near to my house.

As usual, we have to wake up extremely early, say 5.15am?? It is due to the traffic we would like to avoid as we know the place well... Finding a parking spot is not easy xD Moreover, we have 6-7 cars in total!!

We met up in one place and went there around 6.10am. Upon reaching, we need to redeem our T-shirt, wrist band and a questionnaire form. All this can be only done on the event day itself! And the queue there was crazy!!!

It was according to alphabet order... Pity those who have common surname like C, L, M etc. The queue was just long... After redeeming all the items, we're required to change into the T-shirt provided =)

My aunty decided to join last minute. Mum went in register their name while Wyeyi and me waited for them to arrive...

You know what is the cute thing?! Remember my younger cousin brother?? I forced him to put on the T-shirt although it was "M" size xD [no more "S" size..] And you know what he looks like??

Harry Potter in the town ^^

So cute right?? I even wanted him to hold some random branch to act as the magic wand wei...

Originally, there were only 5000 participants on the register list. They allowed walk-in register as well and it make to a sum of 7000 participants!! That was a huge number...

Everyone will be given a goodies bag which consists of 3 packets of Jacobs biscuit, 1 Spritzer mineral water & either a packet of milk powder or umbrella by Anlene

We went to a house-restaurant in Rawang to try out the famous "Wan Tan Mee Steam Fish" ^^ It was being promoted by Ho Chak, a food program showing in 8tv...

It was pretty special because I don't think you can ever find another restaurant who cook the same dish... And it is only selling for RM13.80!! It is pretty affordable I would say =)

We ordered 2 plate of the dish and the table next to us ordered one dish for each of them!! And the best part was we're sharing the 2 plate with 8 of us while the table next to us finish one plate by their own!! How can that be??

There were many newspaper cutting around the dining area and I saw this "special" notice!!

"Customer who stick the car sticker about the dish can have free tea for their next visit!" Good PR / Advertising right??

It was a tiring day as I have to wake up extremely early =( But I do enjoy the "journey" throughout the whole day!!

Love,
