Wayne's company, Optima, was having their annual dinner at Ah Yat Restaurant in Avenue K yesterday. He brought me there with him as everyone is allowed to bring a guest =)
Due to the fact that the dinner proposed at 6.30pm, we need to leave our house around 5pm. Wayne was worrying about the traffic condition, so he wants us to leave as early as possible. I left office at 4pm and went home to prepare myself ^^
Around 5.20pm, we departure from my house. Thank God the traffic was pretty clear and we reached there around 6pm. May be it was due to the school holiday thingy that made the traffic so clear...
His colleague asked him to park in KLCC, but the rates was... ...
First Hour: RM 3
Subsequent Hour: RM 2.50
No maximum chargers wei... ...
He said nevermind wo... So, we walked to Avenue K, which is the mall opposite KLCC. We were the among the earliest couple who arrived with his another branch's colleague and his wife.
Optima has reserved 8 tables for this dinner =) Around 7.30pm, almost everyone has reached. We started the dinner at 8pm =) The dishes includes Beijing Duck, Prawns, Fish, Shark Fin Soup. Of course Abalone was served too!!
The Abalone that we get to eat in wedding dinner was in slices. Here, they served you one Abalone each!! The size was pretty small but it was cute!!
Compared to the Hong Kong drama series about Abalone business, these Abalone were way too small to compare. However, it was so cute that I can't stop taking pictures of it!
Everyone was pretty quiet in the beginning as most of them only know their colleague in their own branch. Our table was kind of noisy because Wayne's closed colleagues were sitting with us.
The dinner went quite well I would say but it was kind of boring because I don't know his colleagues... I could only listen to their conversation and disturbed Wayne a bit on and off...
Wayne was pretty worried about the parking chargers over in KLCC. Worst thing was, if you parked in Avenue K and dining in Avenue K, your parking ticket can be waived! WHAT?? ?? Wayne's heart was like being slashed by knife... ... ...
When the dinner comes to an end, we used our fastest speed and walked to the autopay machine... Thank God again!! It was only RM 7 ^^ May be after working hour less chargers??
Anyhow, it was a fine dining experience with so many strangers =)
This is what you called socialize, I guess ^^
Love,
