I think we start with listing down the happy things of Winx's 2014.
- 2014 was a life changing year for both Wayne and I as we OFFICIALLY sealed the deal and upgraded to the second stage of life - marriage. On 7 December 2014, my status is different liao - Mrs Ong. We are blessed with good weather (it has been raining a few days before the big day), helpful relatives (offering a pair of helping hands as this was the FIRST Loo family's wedding) and supportive family and friends who attended the wedding reception.
- The term "headhunted" was not made known to me until it really happened. Truly grateful for a very helpful headhunter which prep me for my interviews and I'm now learning a different scope of work - switching from PR to marketing. It's now my 6th months here and I'm looking forward to learn and gain more!
- Everyone has their list of must-go or must-do items. One of my utmost travel destinations (must-go, even though I'll be broke) is non-other than the beautiful Santorini, Greece and it's CONFIRMED! We grabbed ourselves great deal and saved RM1k each for our air tickets and yeap, we are heading to Santorini next April for our honeymoon~~~ yuhooooooo
- As a couple, we didn't have the chance to travel together - what I meant is, both of us, only both of us travelling. For the past 10 years, whenever we travel, either my family, or his friends will be travelling together with us. We broke the record when we went to Taiwan earlier in May for our pre-wedding photoshoot. Although the travel experience wasn't pleasant (issues with the bridal house on payment terms) at the beginning, but we did enjoyed ourselves and Wayne wants to come back to Taiwan again?!
- Speaking about pre-wedding shoot, I was quite amaze by Wayne's performance! Especially when he was in his white prince suit, preparing to depart to the shooting venue... At that moment, I can't stop laughing and I can still remember the look, k? It's so rare to see Wayne all suit-up and make up!!!! For photo shooting purposes, make up artist apply foundation on his face and "fix" the eyebrow. An unforgettable experience as this was the FIRST time, I did photoshoot in the rain. Thankfully, the team was professional and we were waterproof throughout the shooting. Also glad that we heard reviews from our family and friends that the photos are nice =) Happy-nya
Given the happy things happening, it was also a pretty tough year I must say, either from a personal perspective, or a national point of view.
- Grandpa left the family. He didn't have the chance to attend my wedding even, it's just 4 days away... We wanted to call off the wedding but grandma insisted the wedding must go on. In the end, we only did the ritual after the 3-day wedding timeframe and it's a week after. Given the fact of the wedding, I can't even conduct the prayers. All both Wayne and I did was becoming vase, watching from beside. RIP, grandpa
- Airforce tragedies. Always remembering MH370, MH17 and QZ8501
- Flooding at East coast. May all those who are affected are recovering and stay positive
I hope for a better 2015 and may everyone bless with lots of laugh, love, luck, good wealth and health! Happy New Year =)
